The Art of Living

Living life to its fullest is an art form. To be happy and successful requires conscious attention to thoughts, attitudes, choices and actions. It has been proven that the attitudes and emotions you emit, attract the quality of your day-to-day experience. If you are resentful, fearful, contentious, unkind, negative and unhappy, you will attract more of the same. Conversely, if you are happy, joyful, kind, positive and expecting the best, these are the experiences you will attract. With this understanding, the following quote and poem are two of my favorites to keep centered.

You never can tell what a thought will do

In bringing you hate or love—

For thoughts are things and their airy wings

Are Swifter than carrier doves.

They follow the law of the universe—

Each thing creates its kind,

And they speed O’er the track to bring you back

Whatever went from your mind.

By Ella Wheeler Wilcox

“Man should make an art of thinking. The Master Thinker is an artist and is careful to paint only the Divine designs upon the canvas of his mind; and he paints these pictures with masterly strokes of power and decision, having perfect faith that there is no power to mar their perfection and that they shall manifest in his life the ideal made real…

The simple rules are fearless faith, nonresistance and love!”    Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

By Florence Scovel Shinn – The Game of Life and How to Play it.

Artistic expression is also fundamental for a full and joyful life experience. It can be anything from drawing, painting, dancing and body movement, writing, crafts, mosaics, sewing and clothing design, photography, singing, or playing a musical instrument, to name a few. It can be anything that allows for one to be creative and express natural talent. It is a wonderful way to stay in a high energetic frequency and helps one to stay cheerful, productive and positive.
